  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Lean Ground Turkey, 1 lb

Breadcrumbs (Panko or regular), ¼ cup

Egg, 1 large

Garlic Powder, 1 tsp

Onion Powder, ½ tsp

Smoked Paprika, ½ tsp

Salt, ½ tsp

Black Pepper, ¼ tsp

Olive Oil Spray, as needed

Mixed Greens (or chopped Romaine), 6 cups

Cherry Tomatoes, 1 cup

Cucumber, 1 medium

Red Onion, ½ small

Avocado, 1 large

Pickles (dill, bread & butter), ½ cup

Optional: Cooked Quinoa or Brown Rice, 1 cup

Mayonnaise, ½ cup

Ketchup, 2 tbsp

Dijon Mustard, 1 tsp

Pickle Relish (sweet or dill), 1 tbsp

Garlic Powder (for sauce), ¼ tsp

Onion Powder (for sauce), ¼ tsp

Paprika (for sauce), ¼ tsp

Instructions

1. Step 1: Prepare the Turkey Burger Patties. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix with your hands until just combined. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into ¾-inch thick patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each with your thumb.

2. Step 2: Air Fry the Turkey Burger Patties. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place patties in single layer without overlapping. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove and let rest for 2-3 minutes.

3. Step 3: Prepare the Bowl Components. Wash and dry mixed greens. Halve cherry tomatoes. Dice cucumber. Thinly slice red onion. Cube or slice avocado. Chop pickles. If using quinoa or brown rice, ensure it’s ready.

4. Step 4: Prepare the Creamy Special Sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until smooth. Adjust seasonings to taste.

5. Step 5: Assemble the Air Fryer Turkey Burger Bowls. Divide mixed greens among 4 bowls. Arrange cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, avocado, and pickles around greens. Add quinoa or rice if using. Place one turkey patty in each bowl. Drizzle generously with special sauce. Serve immediately.

Notes

Don’t overmix the turkey to keep patties tender. Ensure patties are uniform thickness for even cooking. Preheat air fryer for best sear. Avoid overcrowding the basket; cook in batches if needed. Let burgers rest after cooking. For meal prep, store components separately. Reheat patties in air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes. Do not reheat greens or avocado.
