A quick, protein-packed breakfast bowl featuring creamy cottage cheese, mixed berries, granola, and a drizzle of honey. Perfect for busy mornings and customizable with various toppings.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 bowl 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup cottage cheese (2% or 4% milkfat)

½ cup mixed berries (fresh or thawed frozen)

¼ cup granola

1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)

1 tablespoon slivered almonds or seeds (chia, flax, pumpkin, sunflower)

Instructions

1. Gather your ingredients: cottage cheese, mixed berries, granola, desired sweetener, and optional toppings.

2. Scoop about 1 cup of cottage cheese into your favorite breakfast bowl and spread evenly.

3. Gently arrange ½ cup of mixed berries over the cottage cheese.

4. Drizzle 1-2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup over the berries and cottage cheese, if using.

5. Sprinkle ¼ cup of granola evenly over the top.

6. Add 1 tablespoon of slivered almonds, chia seeds, or other preferred toppings.

7. Enjoy immediately. For meal prep, store base (cottage cheese + berries) separately from crunchy toppings.

Notes

For extra creaminess, use 4% cottage cheese or blend the cottage cheese until smooth. If using frozen berries, thaw slightly and drain excess liquid. Add granola and nuts just before serving to maintain crunch. Store base and toppings separately for meal prep up to 3-4 days. No reheating needed; serve cold.
