These Garlic Parmesan Turkey Burgers are a family-friendly, quick, and flavorful meal made with lean ground turkey, fresh garlic, and Parmesan cheese. They offer a lighter alternative to beef burgers without sacrificing taste, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 patties 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs ground turkey (93/7 or 94/6 lean)

45 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

Buns and toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, mayonnaise) as desired

Instructions

1. Gather all ingredients. Mince garlic, chop parsley, grate Parmesan.

2. In a large bowl, place ground turkey. Add minced garlic, grated Parmesan, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley (if using), salt, and black pepper.

3. Using your hands, gently mix ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.

4. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions. Form each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick, slightly wider than buns. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb.

5. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it shimmer.

6. Carefully place patties in hot skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on first side until golden brown.

7. Flip burgers and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during last minute to melt.

8. Remove burgers from skillet and let rest on a plate for a few minutes. Serve on buns with desired toppings.

Notes

For extra juiciness, use turkey with at least 7% fat.

Don’t overmix to avoid tough burgers.

Use a meat thermometer to ensure 165°F internal temperature.

Let patties rest after cooking to redistribute juices.

Burgers can be grilled: brush with oil and cook over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes per side.

Store cooked patties in fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
